“Nutrition in Recovery” A Rebuilding Recovery Workshop (Lowndes)

March 26, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Healthy eating habits are important for everyone, but especially so for those who are recovering from an addiction. Many people who suffer from addictions and other mental health disorders have poor nutritional habits; Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) reports that more than 42% of adults with mental illnesses are obese. Since poor nutrition can lead to other serious health problems down the road, it’s essential that a person going through addiction treatment is also educated about how to maintain a healthy diet.

This workshop will educate and inspire ways to incorporate healthy eating in your life. The workshop will be part informational and part Health Starts Here tour with free food samples. There is no fee to attend this workshop.

Feel free to visit our HOPE Recovery Community Center at 3447 McGehee Road, Suite F in Montgomery or call 334-262-7477 with any questions or concerns.
