Knowing Is Still Sexy

In observance of Homeless Youth Awareness Month, COSA will continue the conversation by hosting its “Knowing is Still Sexy” Grown Conversation on November 30th. The discussion will feature panelists from homeless providers within the Montgomery Area. The purpose of this event is to bring recognition and acknowledgement to those who provide shelter to individuals who identify as homeless and to highlight the correlation between homelessness and risk management. Discussion topics will include facts and statistics of homeless youth and HIV contraction rates, the process of getting a bed, and community referrals. We will also discuss how myths and lack of access plagues those representing the African American community and the LGBTQIA+ community.
