River Region Prevention Network

COSA-NCADD created and facilitates the River Region Prevention Network (RRPN) (formerly known as Montgomery County Unified Prevention System-MUPS). The mission RRPN is to work collaboratively as a community to integrate and leverage resources and services to insure long-term reductions in substance abuse-related problems and to improve the quality of life for all citizens in and throughout the River Region through the implementation of comprehensive, research-based prevention programs.

RRPN works to:

(1) strengthen collaborations in the community to support the efforts of the coalition to prevent and reduce substance abuse among youth and (2) reduce substance abuse among youth and, over time, among adults by addressing the factors in a community that increase the risk of substance abuse and promoting the factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse.
