Behavioral Health Prevention

Behavioral health prevention programs and services are designed to foster safe and healthy environments for individuals, families and the greater community; positively affect community norms and attitudes; and increase awareness and knowledge about alcohol and other drugs and other related issues-thereby influencing the incidence and prevalence of problems in our communities.

Using the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) strategies (environmental, information dissemination, community-based process, education and alternative), COSA-NCADD is implementing the following programs and services in Montgomery, Elmore, Lowndes, Autauga, Dallas, Perry and Wilcox counties.
