Substance abuse affects many areas in a person’s life. It has ended careers, lives and divided families. Substance abuse has crippled communities and has led to criminal activity. Many turn to drug use to mitigate pain, reduce anxiety or feel a sense of power that they do not have in a given social situation. Participants will be introduced to ways to prevent the onset of substance use as well as understand the risk and protective factors that either contributes to or prevent substance abuse. Interactive exercises will help you apply these skills in your own setting.
This training is free; however, registration is required.
