For every complete act of suicide, 30 others attempt suicide. Identified as a serious public health problem, suicide was one of the top 10 leading causes of death in the United States in 2009. It’s impact on family, friends and coworkers and communities is immeasurable. Preventing suicide require a comprehensive approach with many sectors of the community working together with coordinated methods and depending on each other’s diverse resources.
