Beginning on Octboer 30, 2014, COSA-NCADD will offer education and training courses through its newly established Education and Training Institute. The primary goal of the Institute is to provide education and training courses on alcohol and substance abuse other related issues to professionals and community agencies providing services to youth and adults in Montgomery County, Alabama. Between October 2014 and May 2015, eight courses are scheduled with topics ranging such as Understanding Cultural Competency When Working with Diverse Populations, Prescription Drug Misuse/Abuse and Serving Veterans Through Community Partnerships.
All scheduled courses are FREE and approved for CEU credits and contact hours for social workers. COSA-NCAA is in the process of obtaining additional CEU and contact hour approvals from other certification and licensure boards.
